Upon arriving at the restaurant, I was surprised by the rearragement made to their setups - the chocolate fondue had been shifted close to the entrance while there was a new dessert bar erected to make room for a wider selection to pamper our sweet tooth.
Their salad bar was second to none - all garden greens were fresh and shining, salad dressings were nicely prepared. I couldn't help but made three trips there.
As for the main, instead of laying out a sumptuous spread like what you normally see in other hotel buffets, they have a reasonable selection of dishes, allowing one to have a bit of everything, an ideal spread it should be for a lunch buffet. As its current theme 'East Meets West' suggest, one can expect to indulge in a feast of the best asian delights with a twist of western flavours - Mini Waygu Patties with Orion Gravy, Chinese Roasted Duck with Angelica Herb Sauce, just to name a few. I simply enjoyed every one of them.
The dessert selections didn't disappoint too. Too bad they didn't serve chocolate truffles which I had on my previous visit.
This was probably the best part of the meal - the CHOCOLATE FONDUE! There were marshmallow and freshly cut fruits for one to dip in. The sight alone was enough to blow your mind away.

It's ok. They have alot of other crdeit card promotions from time to time. My last time there was on a citibank 50% off promotion.
Does pure Amex count down ? Without others bundle.. Does it applicable for dinner as well ?
This promotion is only valid for lunch and limited to one redemption per card only.
I'm not sure whether this is limited to DBS Amex card though, but u can always call the restaurant for any of your enquiries. Their friendly staff will be more than happy to assist you.
OK, I have went there last nite. Buffet dinner only have promo like pay 3pax free 1pax type. They do not have ice-cream & fruit juice but they have this "new" menu - Taste of Penang where you can have multiple order of nyonya popiah, bak-kut-teh, cha kway tiao etc.. No much variety on pastry & bread too - as seen on your picture..
Ya, they are currently having this 'Taste of Penang' dinner menu till the end of the year. How do you find their Penang dishes. I have reviews on HungryGoWhere that those dishes taste good.
As for me, I haven't not tried their dinner buffet yet. So far my 1st 2 visits were on 1-for-1 lunch promotions. As a hotel buffet, I do agree that having no ice cream and beverage is quite a disappointment.
Anyway, if you like hotel buffet, cafe swiss is having 1-for-1 dinner buffet at $55++ for citibank card holders, until this Christmas:)
Oh, didn't get to see ur review at HungryGoWhere (any link?), but I find their bak-kut-teh & Rojak quite nice. In fact I order twice due to the portion too small :P

Ya, a group of my friends made a call last week and was told the promotion was valid until 25th Dec 2009. It's on Citibank's promotion website too.
Anyway, you may wanna check out other credit card promotions by clciking one of those links under the credit card promotion section. Most of them are quite updated, except for OCBC and HSBC. :)
